Position Overview:

Ambrit International School, a leading IB World School, is seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified MYP Maths Teacher to join our dedicated Middle Years Programme (MYP) team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and conceptually driven mathematics lessons for MYP students (Grades 6-8) using the IB MYP framework. Integrate global contexts and inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Design and administer diverse summative and formative assessments aligned with IB MYP Assessment Criteria. Provide timely, constructive feedback to students that promotes self-reflection and growth.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively participate in the planning and development of interdisciplinary units, collaborating with colleagues across subject groups to create meaningful connections for students.
  • Pastoral Care & Guidance: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing student behavior effectively and contributing to the pastoral development and well‑being of all students.
  • Professional Development: Engage in regular professional learning, both school‑based and IB‑related, and apply new learning to continually improve teaching and learning practices.
  • School Community: Participate in relevant school and community events, meetings, and parent‑teacher conferences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification/certification.
  • Specific training and at least 3 years' experience teaching Mathematics to upper primary or middle school students.
  • Thorough knowledge and practical experience with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), including its pedagogical philosophy and assessment principles.
