About The Job

Join Allianz as an IT Service Manager for Sales Platforms to coordinate, together with the Service Owner, the IT platforms that support our Agents and Customers across the sales and distribution value chain.

Our team is responsible for the continuous enhancement of some of the Allianz Technology S.p.A. platforms to meet new business requirements, for managing them in production, and for defining and implementing the strategy for technological evolution and new projects.

Our sales platforms combine cloud-native components with legacy technologies and integrate with a heterogeneous application landscape. In this context, we are seeking a Service Manager with proven experience in maintaining and evolving complex service solutions and in delivering transformation projects.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring stable and efficient operations of the managed portfolio, in steering internal teams and external providers, and in maintaining a global vision of systems and architectures while driving their evolution. Working independently and with minimal guidance, you will act as a reference professional and role model for the domain, and may be accountable for the results of a project, of a team, or of expert activities and objectives.

If you are passionate about running and evolving impactful solutions and thrive in a challenging and evolving setting, we invite you to become part of our journey.

What You Do

  • Take operational responsibility, on behalf of the Service Owner, for the Business Services and IT Service Offerings (ITSO) of the sales domain, ensuring stable and efficient operations, including availability, capacity, configuration and asset management, and business continuity of the platforms.
  • Coordinate the technical teams on a functional basis and steer internal and outsourced service providers, ensuring service handover and SLAs in line with service lifecycle management, service catalogue, and contract management.
  • Govern the design of the solutions delivered on the platforms, ensuring that cloud and microservices architectures are consistent with group guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Manage projects from demand to release, including estimates, budget, and cost-effective planning, and contribute to the commercial planning of the services in scope: budgeting, cost allocation, and P&L controlling.
  • Apply ITSM principles to improve IT service management and optimize operational efficiency, driving continuous service improvement with an end-to-end customer perspective, and take part in defining and monitoring key indicators - e.g. cost per service, quality, capacity, business continuity and IT security - in line with Allianz IT standards and processes.
  • Analyze and monitor live solutions, assessing performance and platform evolution to ensure they meet strategic business goals.
  • Address complex situations and problems where precedent may not exist, drawing on multiple sources of information and taking a new perspective on existing solutions.

What You Bring

  • Higher education degree with a technical or economic focus (e.g. computer science, computer engineering, industrial engineering) or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience as Service Manager, Solution Manager, or in similar positions; work experience in an international environment is desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing and evolving complex IT services, ideally within the sales, distribution, or agency domain of the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Good knowledge of modern architectures, microservices, and cloud-based solutions, with a particular focus on AWS and Azure; knowledge of legacy technologies is a plus.
  • Proven ability in project management, Agile and DevOps methodologies, including the management of estimates, budgets, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Practical understanding of ITSM principles and ability to apply them effectively to improve business processes; process and project management training and/or ITIL certification is desirable.
  • Experience in supplier and provider management and in the functional coordination of cross-functional teams without direct line responsibility.
  • Familiarity with applying AI in projects, both to optimize project delivery and to design AI-enabled functionalities within the solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, and teamwork aptitude, with the ability to communicate and negotiate with diverse internal and external stakeholders, often at senior level.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical thinking skills, with fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
  • Living the four Allianz People Attributes: Customer & Market Excellence, Collaborative Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Trust.<
