Network Engineer role || Only FREELANCE/VAT CONTRACTORS || End User || Long Project || Italian is a MUST ||

The candidate, within the Network Team, will support, maintain and participate in network projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure inter-team adoption of best practices and encourage consistency in approach.
  • Support a team of infrastructure engineers to build, deliver, and maintain a world-class infrastructure platform that meets agreed SLA expectations.
  • Acquire strong technical understanding of *** Network.
  • Participate in technical decisions and help to drive continuous improvement within the *** Network Infrastructure.
  • Network infrastructure implementation and maintenance for both Data Centres and Branch Offices.
  • WAN/LAN network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Support LAN, WLAN, and Collaboration networks.
  • Engage with MPLS and Internet providers to identify and troubleshoot faults, following up via a ticketing system.
  • General second-level support activities with NOC personnel.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of the concepts of LAN and WAN networks.
  • Good knowledge of network infrastructure (routing and switching) based on Cisco technologies (desirable).
  • Ability to define and obtain adoption of new processes.
  • Ability to produce accurate and complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform daily health checks and act accordingly.
  • Experience with Network Monitoring and alerting solutions (SolarWinds preferable).
  • Experience in working for a true global 24x7 organization.
  • Knowledge of NAC products.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles.

The following will be considered a plus:

  • On-call availability.
  • Basic Terraform and Ansible scripting.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Working hours flexibility (Out of hours / weekend work may be required in certain projects).
  • Ability to work in a team in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.

Location: Emilia Romagna (mandatory at least 2-3 days in office).
