Overview

we are looking for an experienced fx derivatives trader (vice president level) to join our fx derivatives trading team in milan.

Responsibilities

  • price, trade and market‑make fx options on g10 and emerging‑market currencies.
  • manage market risk arising from market‑making and client‑driven activities.
  • handle positions in plain‑vanilla and exotic options, providing competitive pricing and liquidity while optimising the risk‑reward profile.
  • identify and execute trading and hedging strategies based on market conditions and portfolio exposures.
  • work closely with sales to support client activity through pricing, market views, trade ideas and tailored fx derivative solutions.
  • contribute to origination, assessment and structuring of new products and client solutions.
  • support the development of the fx derivatives franchise through new business initiatives and product enhancements.
  • collaborate with other trading teams and international hubs to optimise risk management and market coverage.
  • participate in the continuous improvement of pricing models, trading tools, analytics and risk‑management processes.

Requirements

  • 3‑7 years of experience in fx derivatives trading within an investment bank or comparable financial institution.
  • proven experience in fx options market‑making and risk management, with direct responsibility for trading positions.
  • strong knowledge of g10 and emerging‑market currencies, plain‑vanilla and exotic options.
  • ability to manage volatility and greeks‑based risk and to dynamically hedge option portfolios.
  • experience operating within defined market and counter‑party risk frameworks and trading limits.
  • familiarity with front‑office trading, pricing and position‑management systems.
  • degree in economics or stem disciplines.
  • deep understanding of derivatives pricing, volatility surfaces and greeks.
  • fluency in english.
  • strong proficiency with front‑office trading and analytical tools; knowledge of python, vba or other quantitative programming tools is a plus.
