Organizational context: The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, dedicated to saving lives and building peace through food assistance. The Management Services Division (MSD) supports WFP's global operations by providing essential services like infrastructure, fleet management, facilities, and travel. The UN System Booking Hub, within MSD, is a global shared service aimed at improving access to and management of operational services for UN organizations and the humanitarian community.

Job purpose: This internship within the UN System Booking Hub in Rome offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Management Services Division's mission of enabling WFP's workforce and operations. The intern will gain practical experience in supporting the delivery of essential operational services, including accommodation, mobility, and facilities management, to UN organizations and the broader humanitarian community.

Key responsibilities
will involve providing customer care and operational support, assisting with training and outreach activities, and contributing to the rollout and adoption of digital booking services. The role also includes supporting data analysis and reporting, and coordinating with field colleagues and stakeholders. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about customer-oriented support, digital tools, and innovative solutions within a dynamic, fast-paced humanitarian environment, aiming to enhance service quality and efficiency across the UN system.

Education:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Management, International Relations, or a related field. Alternatively, recent graduates (within six months of program completion) are eligible. A minimum of two years of an undergraduate program must be completed. Proficiency in English is required, with knowledge of French, Spanish, or Arabic being an asset. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, are necessary.

The internship requires candidates to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Management, International Relations, or a related field, having completed at least two years of their undergraduate program or be a recent graduate within six months of application. Proficiency in English is essential, with knowledge of French, Spanish, or Arabic being an asset.
