The Role:

The Sales Engineering Specialist is responsible for driving technical excellence and supporting the sales process by bridging the gap between engineering and sales across multiple international markets. This role's mission is to provide technical expertise and pre-sales support to ensure the successful design, demonstration, and delivery of WiFi OEM hardware and software solutions while serving clients across various regions and languages.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and create customized WiFi OEM solutions that include hardware, software licenses, and network designs. Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to showcase the capabilities and benefits of the company's solutions to customers, prospects, and channel partners. Assist in responding to RFPs, crafting technical proposals, and defining project scopes in collaboration with Channel Managers.
  2. Solution Design and Architecture: Work directly with customers and channel partners to gather requirements and design WiFi network solutions that address their specific needs and challenges. Provide technical guidance and expertise on solution architecture, including system integration, software licensing, and scalability. Ensure that proposed solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices, optimizing performance and security.
  3. Pre-Sales Consultation and Troubleshooting: Act as a technical advisor during the sales process, addressing any questions or concerns related to WiFi OEM products and ensuring that the technical aspects are clearly understood by potential customers. Conduct pre-sales consultations to diagnose and troubleshoot potential technical issues, ensuring solutions are feasible and properly scoped before deployment. Collaborate with Channel Managers to overcome technical objections and facilitate a seamless pre-sales experience.
  4. Training and Partner Enablement: Deliver technical training and enablement sessions for channel partners and customers to ensure they understand the functionality and benefits of our solutions and software licenses. Assist in creating technical resources, training materials, and educational content to strengthen the technical acumen of channel partners and sales teams.
  5. Industry and Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in WiFi and networking to provide strategic insights and position the company's products effectively. Monitor market demands and customer feedback to help the sales and engineering teams identify new opportunities and areas for growth.
  6. Pricing and Commercial Terms: Define, manage, and present competitive pricing strategies and commercial terms. This includes creating customized pricing models, preparing quotes, and negotiating terms directly with customers and channel partners to ensure deals align with both customer needs and company profitability objectives.
Qualifications:Technical Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related technical field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering, preferably in WiFi/networking industry
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, WiFi technologies, and OEM integration
  • Experience with network design and architecture
  • Proven track record in technical pre-sales and solution design
Language Requirements:
  • Native or near-native Italian
  • Professional English proficiency (C1 preferred)
  • Professional Spanish proficiency (C1 preferred)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in all three languages
Commercial Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales and customer relationship management
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Experience in pricing strategy and proposal development
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Personal Qualities:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across cultures
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30% of time)
