Cartus is seeking an experienced and engaging Freelance English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to provide in‑person language training for an 8‑year‑old learner in Piacenza, Italy.

This assignment is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with children and can create fun, interactive lessons that maintain and further develop advanced English language skills.

About the Learner:

• Age: 8
• Current English Level: Estimated C1
• Native Language: Italian
• Previous International Experience: Attended an international school in the Netherlands for two and a half years, where English was the primary language of instruction.

Learning Objectives

The learner already has a strong command of English and is seeking continued support to:

• Maintain and further develop English proficiency
• Strengthen language skills for schoolwork and academic success
• Enhance confidence and fluency in everyday communication
• Continue meaningful exposure to English through engaging and age‑appropriate activities
