MBDA Italy is looking for a Tax specialist to join Finance Directorate, at Rome site.

Academic History:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or Business Administration
  • Master in Tax Law (not required but highly appreciated)
  • Professional qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (not required but highly appreciated)

Professional experience:

  • 5+ years of tax accountant, tax analyst or similar Work experiences in:
  • International Tax Firm
  • Audit Firm (Tax area)
  • Industry (Tax Department), if part of an international group would be highly appreciated

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring legislative taxation updating and changes are promptly identified and spread through the organization (e.g. tax credits, tax benefits)
  • Quantifying, managing, reporting and forecasting tax liabilities (interim and year-end closing)
  • Tax Compliance - Tax returns as for direct, indirect and withholding taxes
  • Monitoring tax deadline and ensure accurate application of national regulations
  • Managing and monitoring VAT's plafond
  • Managing foreign taxes (direct/indirect), including Permanent Establishments' overview
  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of tax compliance processes and internal controls
  • Support tax automation and digitalization initiatives
  • Support the Italian Tax Manager in liaising with the Tax Authority, auditors, regulatory bodies as required

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Italian tax laws, regulations, and practices, with expertise in both domestic and international tax matters
  • Experience in handling tax compliance, reporting, and planning for multinational companies
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standard
  • Advanced IT software skills, including Excel and accounting packages

Language skills:

  • English - minimum level required B2

Soft skills:

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively convey tax concepts to non-tax professionals.

Annual Salary: starting from 40K

The Company reserves the right to offer a higher salary should the candidate possess skills, professional experience, qualifications or responsibilities of a higher level than those required for the position, in line with the principles of internal equity and merit-based remuneration.
