The Role We are looking for a versatile and hands-on Room Technician to join our Maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general room maintenance and repair duties, including minor plumbing, carpentry, fixtures, and fittings
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns reported by housekeeping or front office
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, neatly, and with minimal disruption to guests
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Keep accurate records of work carried out and materials used
- Work closely with the wider Maintenance and Engineering team on planned refurbishment and upkeep projects
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tiler, painter, and/or general maintenance/room technician, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong practical skills in tiling and painting, with a good understanding of general building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple tasks
- A keen eye for detail and finish quality
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
