Key Responsibilities of the Functional Safety Manager:
- Lead Functional Safety Activities: oversee all functional safety aspects of automotive projects, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262, ISO 8800, and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) standards;
- Risk Analysis and Management: conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety issues;
- Safety Requirements: define and manage safety requirements throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production;
- Testing Procedures Definition: define the processes to assess the safety of AD stack software releases and its components, including test case definitions, automation, and report generations;
- Propose HW Changes: identifying hardware design weaknesses and proposing or requiring changes to comply with different regulations and increase the safety of passengers and road occupants;
- Collaboration: work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate safety measures into the design and development process;
- Documentation and Reporting: maintain comprehensive safety documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders;
Qualifications:
- Expertise in ADAS and AI: strong background in advanced driver assistance systems and artificial intelligence, with a focus on their application in the automotive domain;
- Experience with ISO Standards: proven experience in implementing and managing functional safety processes in accordance with ISO 26262, ISO 8800, and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) standards;
- Technical Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead safety-related projects and manage cross-functional teams;
- Problem-Solving Skills: excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential safety issues;
- Communication Skills: strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences;
