We are looking for a passionate HSE Engineer to be based in either of our offices in Italy. You will be a member of our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Team, reporting to the HSE Manager. Your contribution to the energy transition

As our HSE Engineer, you will be involved in monitoring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and project-specific safety protocols, minimizing risks, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel during frequent business trips to construction sites, mainly focusing on H&S activities. You can look forward to the following tasks:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems tailored to the EPC project.
  • Conduct HSE risk assessments and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and developing risk mitigation plans.
  • Review and ensure all project activities comply with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate HSE compliance with Client and subcontractors, ensuring they follow safety standards and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the implementation of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety audits, identifying non-conformities, and working with project teams to ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Report on HSE performance, incidents, and improvement measures to management.
  • Organize and deliver HSE induction programs and continuous training for project personnel.
  • Raise awareness regarding HSE issues and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the project team.

Your energy is required

You impress us with these qualifications:

  • Degree in security engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or similar fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HSE management in EPC projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector in Italy.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
  • Knowledge of safety (e.g., Legislative Decree 81/2008) and environmental (e.g., 152/2006) legislation.
  • Familiarity with POS, DVR, DUVRI, and Risk Assessments.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is considered advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) will be a plus.
