We are looking for several territory Sales Engineers for different areas in Italy. You will develop Music & Lights business in your assigned territory, combining commercial execution with solid technical knowledge of the products and their real-world applications. The goal is to create and close opportunities through a technical, consultative sales approach - running demos and building lasting relationships with designers, rental companies, system integrators, theatres and broadcasters. The role is territory-based, with a hybrid working model: around 70% of your time remote, between home office and customer visits across the territory, and around 30% at the HQ in Minturno (LT), to host visiting customers and for technical and commercial updates.
Key responsibilities
- Develop business in the assigned territory by building a pipeline of opportunities, following up commercially and converting opportunities to reach sales targets.
- Run professional demos and presentations, showcasing the products in real workflows and applications, with in-depth knowledge of the product and of its positioning against competitors.
- Own the entire sales cycle: pre-sales, product selection, quotations and after-sales coordination.
- Engage specifiers - lighting designers, consultants and end customers - with application support and technical information, hosting them at the HQ and meeting them at their workplaces.
- Own market and competitor intelligence: monitor trends and opportunities and share insight with internal teams.
- Act as the voice of the customer towards R&D: gather structured feedback and functional requests, pass them to the R&D department and update customers on the resulting implementations.
- Keep clear, up-to-date opportunity reporting (CRM) and independently plan visits and appointments.
- Travel across the territory: customer visits, local trade shows and events, and hosting customers visiting the HQ.
Requirements
- Experience as a lighting technician/operator in Concert Touring, Theatre or Broadcast/TV settings.
- Commercial mindset and customer focus.
- Hands‑on use of grandMA3 lighting controllers or equivalent.
- Autonomy and organisational skills: planning travel schedules, managing visits and appointments, building relationships and keeping clear and effective opportunity reporting.
- Ability to program and manage a demo showfile, including complex fixtures such as moving lights (cue lists, palettes/presets, playback, basic effects).
- Knowledge of English (B2 level), for manuals, technical terminology and liaising with international colleagues.
- Category B driving licence.
- Availability to travel in Italy and abroad (> 60%).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the regional market and its main players (distribution, rental, integrators, venues, designers).
- Familiarity with CRM and commercial reporting tools.
- Technical experience in the video sector, for example LED screens and media servers.
Soft skills
- Relationship building and listening to the customer.
- Negotiation skills and results orientation.
- Autonomy, problem solving and time management while travelling.
- Effective communication and public speaking.
Contract and compensation
- Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, converting to a permanent contract after 12 months.
- Classification: CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria, livello C3.
- Fixed RAL: from €28,750 to €32,000 gross per year over 13 mensilità, based on experience and skills.
- Performance-based variable pay: up to 20% of RAL. On‑target earnings (OTE) up to approximately €38,400 gross per year.
- Benefits: company car suitable for transporting products; company credit card for travel expenses; travel allowance of €24.35 per day; €8 meal vouchers for each day worked from the home office; company canteen when on site.
