JOB DESCRIPTION

Nacon Studio Milan is seeking a Senior AI Designer for our upcoming titles. The AI Designer will be required to work closely with game designers and AI programmers to design and implement AI systems that enhance gameplay and create engaging experiences. Info

AVAILABLE POSITION(S)

1 Email us attaching your CV, portfolio and a motivational letter Understand the intentions of the creative direction on the game modes and behavior of AIs; Design and develop the AI systems; Design & develop strong AI archetypes that have unique behaviors, characteristics and roles; Fine-tune AI parameters, behaviors and archetypes to achieve the desired level between the player & AI; Actively participate in playtesting sessions to evaluate the AI gameplay & performance; Formalize and document the systems to communicate them to the programming and design teams; Update the design documents to maintain comprehensive documentation of AI systems, behaviors, archetypes and & technical specifications; Describe the basic game situations to collaborate with the AI, Gameplay and Level Design team in establishing levels of difficulty. QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as an AI Designer or similar role within the gaming industry; Experience developing AI for a highly systemic environment; Experience creating behavior trees and using visual scripting; Staying updated on industry trends, and keeping an eye on the latest advancements and trends within AI & game development; Talent for empathizing with players and a deep understanding of player motivations; Team player with good communication skills (verbal and written); Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5. Familiarity with scripting languages and a strong foundation in maths; Good understanding of systems design, player psychology, and emerging industry trends. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS
