Human Technopole (HT) is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of five Centers: Neurogenomics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, and Health Data Science. The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally.
HT is looking for a highly motivated
Legal Counsel
to work in the Legal Department.
Under the supervision of the General Counsel, the successful candidate willprovide legal support in the areas in which HT operates.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Providing timely and effective legal assistance
in the areas in which the Foundation operates, mainly focusing on civil,
commercial, IP and public procurement legal matters (including support in
the event of disputes, also coordinating external legal consultants);
Providing operational legal support for overviewing
and drafting a wide range of documents (including internal regulations,
tender and contract performance phase documents) and agreements;
Monitoring the legislative and regulatory
framework relevant to the abovementioned areas, evaluating the impact on
the Foundation’s activities and providing effective summaries.
Mandatory requirements
Master’s degree (laurea magistrale)
in Law;
Admission to the bar in
a EU jurisdiction (qualified lawyer);
At least 5 years of post-qualified experience dealing
with matters relevant to the advertised position, either gained as
in-house legal counsel or within law firms;
Fluency in English, both oral and written (FHT
is an international research institute).
Preferred requirements
Relevant work
experience gained in life sciences research institutes;
Post-lauream
university master’s courses of specialisation in legal matters relevant to the advertised position.
Organizational and social skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills;
Attention to detail;
Flexibility to work on various legal matters;
Excellent relationship skills and ability to collaborate effectively
within a team and with other functions and departments;
Proactivity and problem-solving attitude;
Utmost discretion;
Openness to constructive criticism.
