Your impact Key duties of the role include:Preparation of Procurement StrategiesDevelopment of Vendors lists and assembling of Requests for Quotations (RFQ's)Evaluation and conditioning of Vendor responsesCarrying out commercial checks for Vendors and past performanceConducting negotiations to enable the shortlisting of VendorsMake shortlist recommendations to the Manager of Procurement, project team and the Client, highlighting distinguishing factors between Vendors and the rationale behind recommendationsConducting final negotiations with selected Vendors and the preparation of subcontracts/purchase orders in compliance with the procurement governanceMonitoring Vendor performance and managing claims/change orders. Reviewing of invoices for accuracy. Tracking procurement status and delivery performance. Closing out complete subcontracts and purchase ordersLiaise with the project team to assist with the resolution of supply issues and when required to provide monthly reports on procurement and Vendor performance, to monitor the supply market to identify potential new Vendors and products and meet with Vendors to understand their productsUnderstand the market, keeping abreast of market developments, demand trends and risksFocus on exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of the Client’s requirements, functional knowledge and process efficiencyEstablish performance led, long term Vendor relationships focusing on value for money, service product quality and continuous improvement to drive competitive advantage for the project#LSeurope Here's what you'll need Bachelors degree or high school diplomaThree (3) to five (5) years of experience in supply management or related fields in the EPCM industryProven capability of working within a procurement team carrying out procurement activities, Vendor relationships including negotiation, production of subcontracts/purchase orders documents and process complianceOverall knowledge of industry business: understands major technical and organizational business issues related to purchasing. Extensive knowledge of commercial procurement laws and standards as they relate to Jacobs operations management and project delivery.Good understanding of construction subcontractingGood communications and writing skills, ability to effectively author contractual commitment documents, as well as internal and external communicationsKnowledge of written and spoken English and ItalianAvailability to travel for short/long term assignmentsPlease submit your resume in English.We know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected, and if we are diverse, we’re more creative.
