In this vital role you will lead the team of Inflammation Medical Advisors (MA) and Medical Scientific Liaisons (MSLs), ensuring that the staff provides accurate, clear, and valued information regarding our science and products to multiple levels within the medical community. You will also drive development and execution of the Inflammation products medical strategies, developing and maintaining integrated partnership with internal and external stakeholders.Job description:Lead and develope the affiliate Inflammation Therapeutic Area Medical strategy and Medical activities for the product(s) in accordance with internal and external regulations​Lead Medical Advisors in interactions and communication with external customers, key organizations, and institutions Manage MSL team responsibilities of conducting scientific engagement and respond to unsolicited requests for information regarding Amgen products and pipeline moleculesContribute with local insights to global medical strategy by being affiliate medical representative in Global Medical Affairs Team Ensure consistency of Medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials​Ensures support to local GSO

Team for country clinical trials strategy and execution Strengthen and maintain scientific partnership with opinion leaders and cooperative groups within the Inflammation Therapeutic area, ensuring external engagement with the scientific communityParticipate in/conduct Local Advisory Board Meetings, Investigator Meetings and/or Expert PanelsProvide Medical expertise for pipeline productsSupport Regulatory, Access and reimbursement requestsReport metrics/interactions, coach, mentor, and support development of direct reports Clearly communicate regional guidance, direction, and expectations to the team per the scientific engagement planAllocate team resources consistent with prioritiesWINWhat we expect from youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The resource we seek is a person with these qualifications.QualificationsMedical education or deep scientific expertise in Immunology, Dermatology or Rheumatology area​Minimum of 6 years in pharmaceutical industry, or proven industry collaboration in academia ​Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical DevelopmentExperience with clinical study management and conduct​Knowledge of commercialization and business practices​Preferred RequirementsPeople management experienceKnowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle and commercialization process with advanced understanding of other functions; including, but not limited to, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs​Previous experience in pricing and reimbursement dossier preparationInflammation/Immunology/Dermatology/Rheumatology therapeutic area knowledge ​Network of customer contacts in Immunology/Dermatology/Rheumatology therapeutic area Finance and budgeting experienceCompetenciesMedical and scientific expertise​Fluency in English, both oral and written communications​Strong communication and presentation skills​Continuously expanding medical and scientific knowledge as well as market knowledge​Strong clinical research knowledge (study design, study evaluation, medical writing skills, expert panel conduct, symposium and workshop management, KOL management)​Strong customer orientation; science-based ​Ability to work in a cross-functional team (e.g., Commercial, Clin Development, EU teams, HE, Regulatory, Safety, etc.)​Role model for others in line with Amgen Values​Demonstrates leadership skills​THRIVEWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, so we work to care for our teammates’ professional and personal growth and well-being.Full support and resources to expand your skills, enhance your expertise, and maximize your potential along your career journeyDiverse and inclusive community of belonging, where teammates are empowered to bring ideas to the table and actAPPLY NOWfor a career that defies imaginationObjects in your future are closer than they appear.
