Job Opening: Equipment Engineer The Equipment Engineer plays a critical role within the Asset team. They oversee and direct the ordering, delivery, testing and commissioning of all equipment like ship to shore cranes (STS), automated guided vehicles (AGV), automated rail mounted gantry cranes (ARMG) etc. according to Expansion Project requirements. The Equipment Engineer ensures all required equipment arrives on time, within budget, with the right level of quality and in line with operational, automation, and other requirements.
Responsibilities
Plan, organise and direct equipment procurement, delivery, testing and commissioning activities
Analyse required deliverables to determine appropriate equipment solutions
Comply with legal requirements and safety codes
Oversee and direct equipment suppliers
Monitor and report progress and quality for equipment construction
Collaborate with various teams and third parties for integrated project delivery
Requirements
Experience in ordering, delivery, testing and commissioning of large port equipment
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of equipment regulations and quality standards
Proven ability to deliver large-scale equipment projects on schedule
Project Management certification would be an asset
Professional with a hands-on mentality
Excellent verbal and written communication
Reliable and trustworthy
BSc Degree or Diploma in relevant field
EU working permit and willingness to relocate to Trieste
