We believe that our deal-making skills, our talent and the company culture drives the commercial mindset.Emerging megatrends and disrupters, such as digitalisation and the energy transition, strongly influence how we are commercialising our activities to be fit for the future.What is the roleThe Contracting and Procurement (CP)/Supply Chain (SC) Specialist – Data Operations position will be accountable for the end-to-end operational data set-up, supplier qualification, and continuous improvement opportunities for a particular business. This position will interface with multiple stakeholders across CP Operations, Supply Chain (SC) or CP-in-Business and across the end-to-end natural partners outside SC/CP e.g. IT, Accounts Payable etc.The role requires ensuring the Data operating model delivers business value in the new macro context.

This would require working with the respective Data stakeholders within and outside CP/SC to develop and operate accurate and reliable CP/SC data, enabling businesses to improve its financial performance, safeguard license to operate and achieve CP/SC goals (eg availability, cost etc). Data must be reliable, enable digitalisation, and is trusted. This allows Shell to maximise bottom line impact from operational spend and in parallel liberating time for asset-based Business and CP/SC colleagues.-Principal Accountabilities:Partner with frontline CP, Suppliers, functional teams and other CP Data Operational teams to ensure business requirements are met within target timelinesEnsure Data Quality (Right First time, Data is Trusted) in placeEnsure operationalisation of data designs that can eliminate waste, transform towards right-first time and strong data quality. Ensure disciplined daily execution of operational data processes across e2e CP to enable improvement and optimisation of supply chains and thus contributing to RDS targets for improved cost and deliveryLeads root cause analysis, exceptions reporting and engages in operational reviews meeting with CP Leads to jointly prioritise, resolve and perform better as an end-to-end unit together with CP LeadsEnsures that Controls are consistently maintained and risks are mitigatedIdentify areas for improvement, including root cause analysis, exceptions identification and ideas for improvement and play active leadership role in improvement projectsDemonstrate process expertise and business acumen with ability to play the role as the senior CP Data expert for a particular business unitCreate, update and requests equipment links (Bill of Material (BOM), Reservation, Stocking) in the databaseSelection of Spare Parts and equipment specifications for projects and maintenanceTechnical specification of used spare parts and equipmentMaintenance of Spare Parts and equipment CataloguesAct as focal point for spare parts and equipment requestsProvides end-user trainings for request process and formsEnsuring compliance to Spare Part catalogue related controlsParticipation in working groups with publication of results in SAP-CatalogueDevelopment and maintenance of standards in the catalogue (Content, descriptions, Hierarchy, Links)Special Challenges (Complexity):Has capacity and curiosity to understand business requirements, how the ‘business works’, what data means to supply chains and actionable outcomes to enable step change towards “Data as an Asset” for whole of SC/CP.Diverse virtual stakeholders across CP/SC leadership teams, FOD - AP, IT, TAO etc.Strong Data knowledge and awareness will be an advantage.
