Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Structural Calculation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia - IT.

Accountabilities:

Ability on the use of finite element method

Ability on the use of requirement management with DOORS

Ability of performing static and fatigue analyses on carshells and bogies structures of railway vehicles

Collaborate with the sub-project groups (internal and external) and ensure the development of the assigned project part

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

Experience to perform the aforementioned tasks as described in section above

Knowledge of bolted joints calculation according to VDI2230

Availability for short domestic and overseas trips

Desired Skills/ Knowledge:

Knowledge on EN 12663, EN 15227 and EN 13749

Knowledge on TSI LOc&PAs

Knowledge of Hyperworks, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Kisssoft, Ansa and DOORS softwares

Analytic approach

Team-working attitude

Flexibility

Result orientation

Education / Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Languages:

Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2 level.
