We are seeking a skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Team in Beinasco. In this role, you will focus on developing new software features and digital applications for our advanced Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) family, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive product excellence

YOUR TASKS
Analyze market trends and customer requirements (PRM) to shape future R&D projects
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as PCD (Product Cost Down) and CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency
Lead and manage the development and implementation of new features for our AGV product family
Develop and validate software features and components through rigorous testing
Collaborate effectively with the organization to ensure seamless integration and implementation of new developments
Partner with Digital Factory of Dürr to develop new digital applications for the Final Assembly Product Portfolio
Providing technical support in customer projects on a global scale as required

GOALS
Develop and promote standardized software frameworks across the product portfolio to ensure consistency and quality
Enhance and unify AGV software standards to improve scalability and maintainability
Collaborate with other engineers for successful project completion
Consolidate and update technical standards and the necessary software and hardware tools to drive efficiency and quality improvements

YOUR QUALIFICATION
Degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar controls engineering role
Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken). Italian and / or German language skills is a plus
Strong experience in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal and Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000
Programming skills in Visual Studio, Proficiency in C# for developing industrial desktop and backend applications, Python for automation scripts, data analysis, and prototyping
Experience with Java for cross-platform or middleware solutions is beneficial, Knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS) to develop user interfaces and dashboards
Database management skills using SQL and familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT) for seamless system integration
Experience with AGV/AMR technologies, including localization and navigation systems
Solid understanding of motion control systems
Familiarity with electrical diagrams using tools such as ePlan and AutoCAD
Knowledge of IT and industrial network solutions
Well-versed in industry standards, key suppliers, customer acceptance processes, and competitor practices
Strong soft skills including creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making.
Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
