Senior Quality Director

One of the most important large-scale retail groups is seeking a Group Quality Director.
He/She will oversee all aspects of quality and safety within the food manufacturing/food retail/food production environment, to ensure compliance with regulations (Italian and international law) and with customer expectations.
Quality Management: Lead the entire quality function, including setting long-term testing strategies, implementing quality frameworks, and overseeing the Quality Management System (e.g., HACCP).
Compliance: Ensure all products and operations meet health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop the quality assurance team to ensure product development activities meet high quality standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration & External Partnerships: Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, and Innovation teams to support new product development and ensure quality integration.
Lead engagement with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and third-party partners.
Oversee operational efficiency and quality control across all stages of production and distribution.
Risk Management: Report on quality-related risks and compliance status to leadership.
A degree in a scientific discipline such as Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is required.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in an executive quality role, including team management, is required.
Language: Fluency in both Italian and English.
