Job Role

Lubrication system is very important to guarantee reliable engine functionality and efficiency. Lubrication DRE is the responsible for the design and development of the complete engine lubrication system including oil pumps, oil cooler, filter, oil squirters and in general all lubrication circuit with is pipes and canalizations. Lubrication system is complex, and the role requires deep knowledge in mechanics, fluidynamic, thermodynamic, materials and engine combustion. The role requires team working skill, collaborating with all the departments involved in validation, and leadership for the interaction with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Lubrication DRE is the design responsible for EGR systems.
  • He manages 3D models and 2D drawings releasing them in the company database system within timing agreed with coordination area.
  • He leads the interaction with supplier:
  • he is in charge of supplier's technical reviews during sourcing activities and fills in the relative scorecard sharing ratings with Chief engineer.
  • He leads supplier interaction for the system design and development
  • He guides design reviews with supplier and the other departments.
  • He supports SQE during PPAP activities.
  • He has direct links with reference people of Virtual Validation, Manufacturing, Testing, Labs and Suppliers in order to finalize components in the better way and according to standard and norms.
  • He ensures the packaging, performance, timing, cost targets by using proper solutions and processes.
  • He is responsible of DFMEA and DVP&R (Design Validation Plant & Reports) in collaboration with all other technical powertrain functions and supplier. He is the responsible for the application of the design norms and draw up SOR (statement of Requirements).
  • EGR DRE is the leading expert for field issue root cause analysis and solution identification.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or long experience in engine design (minimum 3 years);
  • Knowledge of combustion engine functionality and control, thermal exchanged, material and corrosion, fluid-dynamic, structural mechanics.
  • Good knowledge of engine and engine systems and layout.
  • Advanced component design and process knowledge
  • Advanced Cad usage knlowedge (UG)
  • Advanced Drawing dimension (ASME, ISO) and tolerances knowledge
  • Good knowledge of design procedure and change management (KCDS, DFMEA, CRF, CRB, ….)
  • English
  • Good Office knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge on Lubrication systems.
  • Deep knowledge on engine combustion and engine functional parameters.
  • Deep knowledge on fluid dynamic and manufacturing processes (Casting, sintering, stamping, brazing, hydro forming, etc…)
