We are looking for a Software Architect for the Tech-Transfer Unit Digital. The main part of your daily work will be the development, automation, maintenance and monitoring of software and solutions for the Open Data Hub. Open Data Hub is a project that aims to develop an access point to South Tyrol's relevant open data and supports the implementation of an innovation platform, where talents can use data and create innovative solutions for the SMART Green Region South Tyrol. Furthermore, you will take part in the activities of the Free Software Lab and Tech Transfer Digital which means cooperating, networking and consulting external companies and institutions to support their projects. You will become part of an experienced and closely working team that uses agile methods.

We entrust this to you: Coordination of external experts and suppliers Further development of Free Open Source Software projects and participation in the international FOSS community Front-end development UI/UX Design (customer journey, mock-ups, screen designs, ...) Web Development (web front-ends, CSS, HTML, web components, ...) App Development (native, hybrid and web apps) Back-end development Development and maintenance of microservices and applications in Java (Spring Framework), C#, Go and DBMS (PostreSQL, ...) DevOps Setting up deployments and integrations of various frontend and backend services as well as Android and iOS apps with GitHub Actions (many projects from and with external contributors) Setup and maintenance of the central monitoring and logging infrastructure (Grafana, Cloud Watch, Elasticsearch, visual dashboards, automatic alerts) Maintenance of a microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, ...) and various servers under GNU/Linux (Debian) Maintenance of the AWS cloud infrastructure Know-How Transfer Consulting the team regarding general architectural decisions Teaching the team different skills and new technologies (Docker, Vue.js, Ansible, Terraform, Active MQ ,etc.) Documentation of software solutions You: Have experience in technologies and projects related to at least one of the points below:
UI/UX design (customer journey, mock-ups, screen designs, ...) Web application development (web front-ends, CSS, HTML, web components, ...) Development of apps (native, hybrid and web apps) Server administration (both Linux and Windows) Database Management Systems (PostreSQL) DevOps (continuous integration and deployment) Design and implementation of software architecture Central monitoring and logging of application and software architectures Design and realization of monitoring dashboards (also big data analytics) Agile project management (Kanban, Scrum) Have know-how in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C#, Python, Go, Javascript Preferably have knowledge in the use of Linux desktop systems Desirably have know-how about the main Open Source Licenses Preferably have experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and infrastructure as code Have a good knowledge of English, Italian and German (mandatory) Do you want to keep growing in an inspiring and international working environment?
