POSITION TITLE: Finance Manager
REPORTS TO: SR Finance Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: 2
LOCATION: Milan - Italy
PURPOSE:
PURPOSE:
Responsible for all operational finance for Italy, to include the monthly billing and collection process, provide finance validation of all purchases, approve and processes timely payment, provide input for and coordinate the monthly accounting close, support the statutory and group audit procedures, forecasts cash flows, and will perform accounting and finance tasks from a variety of responsibilities.
FUNCTIONS: Responsible for cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, consolidation of financial statements, relationship with banks, financial analysis, among other financial matters
Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data
Supports local growth activities by providing financial information to client-facing team members
Monitors income and expenses, coordinates collections, manages payables and reports local financial needs to headquarters
Works with accounting team to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures; responsible for approving local financial statements
Controls the country's budget and provides periodic forecast updates
Contributes to departmental and company-wide objectives as required
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position will work primarily from the corporate office. Candidate must have the flexibility to occasionally work overtime, including weekends, and possibly local travel.
REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting and finance functions
Strong practical knowledge of financial accounting and financial reporting standards
External audit experience is preferred
Experience operating in a multinational environment is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP systems
Strong Excel skills as well as other MS Office suite products such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex topics for communication to customers and internal functions
Fluency in English and Italian is required
