Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.
The work model for the role is: #hybrid. This role is contributing to the Energy Industries Division in Genova.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Supporting the HSE Manager in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required.Assisting the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and group/business-specific requirements.Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.Embedding an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong focus on the environment across the respective organization.Ensuring that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively.Supporting the HSE function on risk assessment.You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleHighly skilled problem-solving attitude, curiosity, good communication and team-working abilities, and analytical skills complete your profile.Possess an enhanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Bachelor or a Master Degree in Safety Engineering, Tecniche della Prevenzione nell'ambiente e nei luoghi di lavoro or similar.You are at ease communicating in Italian and English (both written and spoken).More about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
