Who we are?Boutique.Yachts is an international group of companies founded in 2010.The group includes a yacht brokerage company and an online portal about yachts.We are based in Europe and the Middle East.We focus on offering a luxurious and personalized service to a selected group of clients who share our values and appreciation for building strong human relationships.Our expertise extends to all aspects of yacht ownership, including the purchase, sale, construction, chartering, and management of both newly built and pre-owned yachts.About this position:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced New Build Project Manager to join our team and oversee the construction of a new motor yacht project.As the New Build Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of the new build project, from conception to delivery.
You will work closely with our yacht management department, the yacht owner's representative, the shipyard, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.What will you do:Manage the overall new build project, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of activities;Liaise with the yacht owner's representative to understand their requirements and preferences, and ensure that these are effectively communicated to the shipyard and other project stakeholders;Monitor and review the design, engineering, and construction progress to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards;Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship, materials, and safety standards;Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship, materials, and safety standards;Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence;Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the yacht owner and the team, highlighting key milestones, issues, and recommendations;Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost control, payment approvals, and financial reporting;Oversee the commissioning, sea trials, and delivery of the completed yacht, and ensure a smooth transition to the operational phase.What we expect from you:Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Project Management, or a related field;Proven experience in project management, preferably in the luxury yacht industry, with a track record of successfully managing new build projects;Strong technical knowledge of yacht design, construction, systems, and equipment;Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;Proficiency in project management software;Familiarity with relevant rules, regulations, and industry standards, such as SOLAS, MARPOL, MCA, ABS, Lloyds, etc;Fluent Italian;Based in the area of Pisa, La Spezia, Genoa, or in that area.
