The Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager Italy, will be responsible for managing the end to end revenue process of the school, covering the performance of invoices to customers, processing receipts , recording the respective transactions in the accounting books , and be the point of contact for parents .Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration and maintenance of Billing Ledger, including the preparation of fees and extra charges to be invoicedMaintenance of customer data up to dateEnsure invoices are accurate and issued correctly and on a timely basisInvestigate and reply to parent queries on a timely basisUse the system s required by the group to perform billing activitiesWork with the secretar y department of the school to obtain the necessary information for invoic ingCollectionsEnsure accurate processing of receipts from parents, by posting receipts to appropriate customer account s and invoicesEnsure all cash received is registered and stored safelyApply consistently the credit collection processMonitor school debtor levels and proactively lead discussions with parents to ensure debt is collected timelyProduce correspondence in respect of outstanding school fees when requiredLiaise with s chool secretaries regarding student recordsPerform cash collections recording and analysisAccountingPerform the posting of invoices on the accounting booksPerform revenue recognition of invoices by posting them to the appropriate periodPerform monthly bank reconciliationsPerform monthly Aged Debtors analysisEnsure month end procedures are carried out on a timely basis and in line with group policies and proceduresIn case of need, be of support to the administrative department also for accounts payable and general accountingFront officeBe the interface to parents and students for formalizing registrationHave meetings with parents to formalise the school contract signature , and receive the payment for the registration feeCompilation, management and archiving of student contractsManagement of incoming phone callsSkills, Qualifications and ExperienceQualified accountant or finance professional, with demonstrable experience in accounting and customer relationsFluent in Italian ( English not mandatory but desirable ) .A dynamic and proactive individual able to work in a dynamic environment.Good organisational skillsSelf-motivated and autonomous .Good interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels of the School.Able to articulate him or herself in a clear and concise manner in writing and verbally.Attention to detail and accuracy.International Schools PartnershipThe International Schools Partnership (ISP) is creating a leading learning-centred international family of private schools that provide high quality education for 2 - 18 year olds.
