Client: State of New York Job Title: ETL Developer Duration: 30 Months Start Date: ASAP Location: 500A Balltown Road Schenectady NY 12304 (Hybrid) Position Type: Contract Interview Type: Webcam Interview Ceipal ID: SNYETL558VH Requirement ID: HBITS0613558 Information Technology Services (ITS) Description This position is with the ITS CTO Business Solutions HHS team and will be responsible for the design and development of a large multilevel system that will ETL (extract transform and load) from an external OLAP database to an internal system.
Responsibilities: Use Microsoft Visual Studio to create and maintain SSIS packages and projects.
Extract data from various sources such as databases spreadsheets flat files or APIs.
Create and maintain database stored procedures and functions.
Contribute to the design of a data warehouse architecture that supports data storage retrieval and analysis.
Optimize query performance by creating indexes.
Diagnose and troubleshoot various rules calculations and data issues on application reports using Crystal Reports.
Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor.
Required/Desired/Highly desired Skills: 84 months ETL (Extract Transform and Load) experience creating SQL Server SSIS objects 84 months SQL Server Programming; views stored procedures and functions.
60 months of experience with Data Warehousing.
60 months experience with OLAP (Online Analytical Processing).
