Environmental, ethical, and social sustainability is a key element of Gruber Logistics' business strategy, not only as a response to the evolving rules of a changing world, but also as a strategy for a more ethical, competitive, and sustainable business.
In our branch in Bologna we are offering an
ESG Sustainability Internship
Main learning areas
You will join our sustainability team approaching sustainability issues and the development of the company's environmental strategy.
You will learn how to support the accounting and reporting of GHG emissions, the analysis of low-emission transport solutions and the development and test of decarbonization actions within the scope of international projects.
Supervised by your tutor, we will get familiar with following activities:
- support the Sustainability function in implementing, improving, and updating company-wide environmental decarbonization action and strategy
- work on carbon accounting and reporting methodologies and tool according to international standards such as GLEC and ISO, including acquisition of new certifications and accreditations
- monitor company suppliers in respect to sustainable procurement policy standards and rates, including the analysis of Fuel Life Cycle based on EU Directives
- work on research and innovation activities within international projects
GRUBER Logistics is looking for open-minded people driven by the desire to expand their knowledge.
Of course qualifications are important, but we also value your interest in sustainability topics and your proactive work approach.
You will get the most out of the internship if you have following skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in scientific studies such as Economics, Engineering, or equivalent
- familiarity with ESG topics
- good English knowledge (German knowledge is a plus)
- knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular expertise in Excel
- Interest in studying and exploring innovative topics
You might have an edge if you have
- knowledge of emissions accounting methodologies (e.g.
GLEC, ISO)
- knowledge of European Commission sustainable transport policy
- knowledge of ESRS standards and sustainable KPIs platforms
