The chosen candidate will engage in software analysis and development, playing a vital role in defining technical specifications for various projects. They will make essential decisions regarding application frameworks, programming languages, and processes to be utilized within Cortilia's existing ecosystem.
The Tech Lead will promote best practices by guiding team members and overseeing the final outcomes to ensure proper implementation. Moreover, this role involves collaborating with the IT team for the maintenance of the production environment.
Activities will be coordinated with the CPO, based on the priorities and opportunities identified by management, to ensure execution aligns with standards of quality, performance, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the advancement of essential projects by outlining and documenting software specifications, workflows, and data models, while also offering sufficient support to developers throughout the implementation phase, which includes: Mentoring one or more team members and guiding them in task completion Conducting final project validation to ensure compliance with quality standards Assisting the CPO in defining and organizing activities Collaborating with other departments during the specification phase of new developments and projects Engaging in pair programming, tutoring, training, and code reviews Providing on-call support and overseeing production services The role will be in a hybrid format, combining time at our corporate office located in Cassina De Pecchi - MM2 Villa Fiorita/Cassina de Pecchi with remote work.
Requirements Excellent programming skills with at least 5 years of experience in Java (from version 8 onwards) Knowledge of JVM-based languages such as Kotlin and Python is a plus Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL is a plus) Solid experience with Spring Boot Expertise in developing RESTful APIs Knowledge of testing frameworks is a plus Strong experience with containerization (Docker is essential, Kubernetes is a plus) Familiarity with application security principles and DevOps best practices Proficient in AWS common services: EC2, ECS/EKS, SNS/SQS, RDS, and S3 (Lambda and other services are a plus) Experience with telemetry platforms and tools (e.g., Datadog) is a plus Familiarity with messaging systems such as SNS/SQS Experience with CI/CD tools and automation platforms such as BitBucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar is a plus Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and Italian Benefits Challenging technological and business projects Time to dedicate to continuous learning Competitive compensation Join a certified B-Corp Benefit Company where your input can significantly impact A brand new office featuring vertical gardens, designed to meet the highest sustainability standards Exclusive discounts on Cortilia.it Meal vouchers provided, even on remote work days Complimentary fresh fruit, coffee, and a variety of premium products available in the workplace Comprehensive corporate welfare plan Flexible working options Cortilia S.p.A.
