col-wideJob Description:RINA is currently recruiting for aSustainable Biofuels Consultantto join its office inGenoa or Milan - Italywithin the Green Energy Solutions Division.MissionThe Resource Efficiency and Management Unit of RINA is seeking a highly motivated resource with experience in the bio-energy sector to support the team in the management and / or technical development of projects with focus on certification schemes for the sustainable production of biofuels, mainly referring to the ISCC EU scheme. Working in our headquarters in Genoa or Milan Office, the successful candidate shall have strong interest in bioenergy, energy transition, decarbonization, circular and green economy topics, good communications skills and a strong teamwork attitude. Previous experience in ISCC certification or other similar standards is mandatory; auditor qualification is not required. The possibility of training on ISCC organized and paid for by RINA for the selected candidate will be considered. Key AccountabilitiesThe new resource will be part of team heading energy and resource efficiency challenges and, he/she will:Participate in the Team activities in the framework of Agro-Energy projects with focus on the sustainable production of biofuelsSupport the management of the entire supply chain, from the point of origin of the agri-feedstock to the obligated party, for the compliance with the ISCC EU principlesContribute to the evaluation of new agri- feedstocks for biofuels, with particular interest in production of vegetable oils, and in the categorization within the European biofuels' regulation frameworkInteract actively with international colleagues, partners, and customers to support the project technical activitiesContribute to deliver high-quality technical reports and resultsSupport the team in general management of the projects meeting client's requestsPromote new business opportunities and participate to project proposal writingQualificationsDegree in agronomic / environmental sciences or Master's Engineering Degree (preferably MSc in chemical engineering, or energetic engineering, or industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering) The knowledge of ISCC Certification or other similar standards is mandatoryEnglish and Italian advanced level; other languages knowledge will be a plus (especially French)Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documentsAbility to manage multiple assignments, proactive to meet short deadlinesPrevious experience of 5-8 years in consultancy company Availability for business trips within and outside the EUInterest and curiosity in energy and resource efficiency sectorAdvanced knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Power PointSoft SkillsTechnical aptitudeBe-proactiveAbility to organize work and prioritize actionsPositive and result-oriented attitudeWe'll provide you with the opportunity toLearn and develop personally - both on the job and through formal trainingBe part of a young, dynamic and motivated teamWork with a wide selection of prestigious clients with exciting and impactful assignments,Develop a network of contacts in many countries around the world and work on international assignmentsDevelop your experience in several projects in the green economy field (e.g. agro-energy, bioenergy, climate change, decarbonization, energy efficiency, circular economy, green finance, etc.)With over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
