The Position:
AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Lending Development Analyst who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. The Lending Development Analyst will be responsible for the development and implementation of procedures, tasks, reporting, and initiatives for the Loan Workout & Recovery department. This position also supports projects and process improvements, commercial credit review and analysis, along with training on Lending policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
What you will do:
Assist with projects related to Loan Workout & Recovery, including process improvement initiatives and system adjustments.
Assist with the development and implementation of procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
Act as the liaison between the Loan Workout & Recovery Team and various internal departments, such as Operations, Core Applications, Project Management, Compliance, Quality Control, etc., to deliver the necessary direction and feedback for procedural and systematic development.
Identify, develop, and assist with training to employees on Loan Workout & Recovery policies and procedures, including compliance requirements, underwriting standards, loan servicing practices, and collections standards.
Maintain a current understanding of applicable regulations and laws, monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and working with Loan Workout & Recovery Leadership team to implement corrective action as needed.
Assist Commercial Loss Mitigation Analyst with in-depth loan reviews of credit decisions, assessing the quality and accuracy of the underwriting determination in the business portfolio.
Assist with risk reviews of commercial credits, identifying trends and observations for further analysis.
Support Commercial Loss Mitigation Analyst in evaluation of risk rating and credit memo evaluation of current loans in the pipeline to include large and complex credits.
Participate in audits and regulatory examinations related to Loan Workout & Recovery, responding to inquiries, and providing information as needed.
Monitor lending performance and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
Monitor industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to collections and lending services.
