col-wideJob Description:Thursday, May 16, 2024Position SummaryOur Viant facility in Costa Rica is looking for a talented and qualified Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain Team. In this position, you will lead the following Logistics processes: inbound, receiving, storage, preparation, distribution and outbound among the different Viant buildings in Costa Rica including also external 3PL operations.The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and Logistics personnel. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of Logistics and Inventory Systems.Managing a Team of Supply Chain professionals ensuring effective and efficient logistics function while delivering on Quality, Cost, Availability and Sustainability objectives of Supply Chain.Ensuring an inclusive work environment, developing employees, setting priorities for the team, managing performance, and getting results across boundaries.Partner with Supply Chain corporate staff on selecting carriers, lanes and negotiating contracts and rates.Strategically plan and manage logistics functions to guaranty customer service level (material at point of use).Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.Evaluating budgets and expenditures.Identify, lead and implement logistics productivity projects.Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, and regulations.Lead to drive continuous improvement culture.The Ideal Candidate Should Exhibit The Following Behavioral TraitsDemonstrated strategic mindset to engage leadership both internally and externally.Demonstrated analytical capabilities – gathering, interpreting, and acting upon data.Demonstrated experience "running own show" to drive results in operational efficiencies and service improvement.Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills with internal stakeholders and external customers.Teamwork across multiple internal teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver to committed schedules.Results orientation skills to work in an ambiguous environment and translate early ideas into engagement / decisions.Knowledge, Skills & QualificationsPeople management, with constructive and productive coaching and mentoring.Ability to manage complex material flows and internal teams.Knowledge or prior experience as it relates to data / information exchange throughout supply chain network.Excellent oral and written communication.ERP / WMS experience.Education and ExperienceUniversity degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration or related field of study.Specialty in Logistics or Supply Chain.Minimum of 6 years' experience in highly regulated industry with progressive responsibilities in Logistics or Supply Chain.APICS certification preferred.Fully bilingual English-SpanishViant is a global medical device design and manufacturing services provider that partners and innovates with customers to provide the highest quality, life enhancing medical devices.
