We are looking for a Scientific Research Officer in the area of Plant Health. The purpose of EFSA is to be globally accessible to any person regardless of their age, gender, culture, or ability, to foster the greatest degree of independence.   Responsabilità The candidates should be scientists (preferably in the field of plant health or animal health), and have experience in data and/or bioinformatics. The three main tasks to fulfil are the following: - Database: the contracted person will be tasked to validate the data for twenty priority pests (host plants, detection and sampling methods, spread, risk factors) to feed a relational database EFSA developed, collecting information extracted from the Pest Survey Cards and other EFSA published outputs. - Project management: EFSA will conduct Expert Knowledge elicitations on the pest surveillance parameters and the contracted person will be asked to contribute and support the activity, in particular he/she will be involved in the organisation, contacting the experts to be elicited, planning the meetings, ensuring all participants are provided with the preparatory materials for the meetings. - Meeting support: The contracted person will also be requested to contribute to the preparation of the working documents and to take the notes during expert working group meetings .
