```html Naval Architect for Noble Denton Marine Services Location: Offshore, Midstream, and Downstream (OMD) Southern Europe, Vimercate (MB), Italy The current position is for an engineer with a strong academic record, preferably a master's degree or higher, with an emphasis on Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering for MWS, offshore structures for Renewables, and Energy markets.
The engineer will work with a large, supportive team on the analysis of all types of offshore structures for in-place conditions and marine operations.
With the support of experienced MWS team members, the engineer will develop a strong initial grounding in the discipline and gradually develop expertise in a wide range of static dynamic analysis, fatigue analysis, and advanced nonlinear analysis.
The business area is Energy Systems within the Region SEMELA that offers a comprehensive range of engineering and consulting services serving the full spectrum of the energy industry with a focus on supporting the Energy Transition.
You will be part of the Noble Denton marine services (MWS) section, which is a diverse and multinational team based in Vimercate (MB), consisting of experts in marine and naval architecture, and complex transportation and installation methods.
The section renders a variety of strength and fatigue studies as well as transportation and installation services for complex systems like FPSO, FSRU, Floating Wind Turbines, Floating Solar, pipeline, and umbilical installation.
Your Main Tasks Will Include: Participation in and contribution to a variety of services delivered from the section including, but not limited to strength and fatigue assessment of the floating structures, stability, hydrodynamics, floatover operations, moorings, and riser systems.
Responsible for the delivery of single work packages but also for managing smaller projects independently.
Direct communication with internal and external clients worldwide.
Preparation of accurate technical reports and support to senior engineers with tenders and proposals.
Attendance at meetings and preparation and delivery of presentations.
Interpretation of data from various sources and development of the most appropriate analysis approach required for the task at hand.
Preparation of detailed finite element models and conceptual first-principles models to understand the phenomena being studied.
Management of all aspects of the naval architecture area of expertise on behalf of our customers.
Development to be client-facing and progression to actively manage own projects.
Regular travel within the customer base and countries of responsibility.
Qualifications: Master's degree in naval architecture or comparable engineering disciplines with specialization on naval architecture and offshore structures.
Good basic engineering skills/understanding.
Strong technical skills with broad qualifications including commercial.
Mooring engineering experience is a plus.
First experience in leadership in projects.
Experience in the offshore industry would be a plus.
Experience in designing house, yard etc for engineering design work would be a plus.
Language: Italian and English fluency is required.
Track record of successful delivery of work experience is an advantage.
