Project Description: Boosting The Efficiency of Photosynthesis by Solar Shaping. Harness the power of sunlight to transform the future of agriculture. In this project, we aim to elevate photosynthetic efficiency by manipulating the solar spectrum with inorganic fluorescent nanoparticles. Collaborating with Solarfoil, pioneers in spectral optimization for plants and microalgae, you will pioneer research at the intersection of physics, chemistry, and biology. Dive into the synthesis, characterization, and application of innovative nanomaterials, with the ultimate goal of revolutionizing global food production.
Candidate Profile: We seek passionate individuals with a master's degree in physics, chemistry, materials science/engineering, or a related field by November 1st, 2024. Ideal candidates possess a strong experimental background in soft or hard condensed matter physics, biophysics, and a keen interest in wet chemistry and photophysics. Proficiency in English is essential to thrive in this international research environment.
