MEDICAL SENIOR MANAGER, INFLAMMATION LIVE What will you do Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will lead the team of Inflammation Medical Advisors (MA) and Medical Scientific Liaisons (MSLs), ensuring that the staff provides accurate, clear, and valued information regarding our science and products to multiple levels within the medical community. You will also drive development and execution of the Inflammation products medical strategies, developing and maintaining integrated partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Job description: Lead and develope the affiliate Inflammation Therapeutic Area Medical strategy and Medical activitiesfor the product(s) in accordance withinternal and external regulations Lead Medical Advisors in interactions and communication with external customers, key organizations, and institutions Manage MSL team responsibilities of conducting scientific engagement and respond to unsolicited requests for information regarding Amgen products and pipeline molecules Contribute with local insights to global medical strategy by being affiliate medical representative in Global Medical Affairs Team Ensure consistency of Medicalcontent and scientific messagesacross various tools and materials Ensures support to local GSOTeam for country clinical trials strategy and execution Strengthen and maintain scientific partnership with opinion leaders and cooperative groups within the Inflammation Therapeutic area, ensuring external engagement with the scientific community Participate in/conduct Local Advisory Board Meetings, InvestigatorMeetings and/or Expert Panels Provide Medical expertise for pipeline products Support Regulatory, Access and reimbursementrequests Report metrics/interactions, coach, mentor, and support development of direct reports Clearly communicate regional guidance, direction, and expectations to the team per the scientific engagement plan Allocate team resources consistent with priorities WIN What we expect from you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Qualifications Medical education or deep scientific expertise in Immunology, Dermatology or Rheumatology areaMinimum of 6 years in pharmaceutical industry, or proven industrycollaboration in academia Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical Development Experience with clinical study management and conduct Knowledge of commercialization and business practices Preferred Requirements People management experienceKnowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle andcommercialization process with advanced understanding of other functions;including, but not limited to, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Regulatory,and Medical AffairsPrevious experience in pricing and reimbursement dossier preparationInflammation/Immunology/Dermatology/Rheumatology therapeutic area knowledgeNetwork of customer contacts in Immunology/Dermatology/Rheumatology therapeutic area Finance and budgeting experienceCompetencies Medical and scientific expertise Fluency in English, both oral and writtencommunications Strong communication and presentation skills Continuously expanding medical andscientific knowledge as well as marketknowledge Strong clinical research knowledge (studydesign,study evaluation, medical writingskills, expert panel conduct, symposium andworkshop management, KOL management) Strong customer orientation; science-based Ability to work in a cross-functional team(e.g., Commercial, Clin Development, EUteams, HE, Regulatory, Safety, etc.) Role model for others in line with AmgenValues Demonstrates leadership skills THRIVE What you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, so we work to care for our teammates' professional and personal growth and well-being.
