Verification & Validation Senior Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Verification & Validation Senior Engineer to join its office in Romewithin the Space & Defence Division.Mission This role focuses on safety critical avionics software verification and validation activities, providing support to Software Developers in designing solutions.Key Accountabilities The Candidate will be part of a team of V&V engineers based in Rome, and will have the following responsibilities: - Review SW High Level Requirements - Review SW Architectural Design and Low Level Requirements - Design SW Test Cases & Procedures starting from Requirements - Execute SW Tests Cases - Manage Testing Documentation (e.g.SW Verification Plan, SW Verification Cases & Procedures, SW Verification Results) - Conduct Review Analysis - Conduct Source Code Analysis, Timing Analysis, Control and Data Coupling Analysis and Structural Coverage Analysis.The following technical skills are required: - Knowledge of software verification and validation techniques (High and Low level testing).- Ability to write SW testing and verification documentation.- Knowledge of C programming language - Knowledge of software safety aspects and the DO-178C standard (at least DAL C) - Knowledge of avionic interphases (Bus1553, discrets, NVM, SPI) - Knowledge of Structural Coverage dedicated tools (e.g.LDRA, Vector CAST/Cover) The following skills are considered preferable: - Knowledge of software security aspects and the DO-326 set standards - Software development skills in C/C++ - Team Working attitudeEducationBachelor's DegreeMaster's Degree in Aerospace Engineering o Engineering GeneralQualificationsCompetenciesMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futurePIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization With over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.Our business model covers the full process of project development, from concept to completion.The aim is to guarantee a project's technical, environmental and safety - and sometimes also economic and financial - sustainability.At RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every single person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.We provide equal employment opportunities and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and safe from discrimination or harassment of any kind.We are also compliant to the Italian Law n. 68/99.
