Job Description Summary As Repair Engineer you will develop repairs procedures on Commercial Engines, Modules and Components by leveraging on legacy technologies or new ones to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life.
You will be part of Avio Aero Repair and Technical Publication team within the Services Technology organization reporting to the Sub Section Manager of the Commercial Repair and Technical Publication Office.
Job Description Essential Responsibilities Define Inspection Limits and Develop Repairs for Commercial Engines, Modules and Components, to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life.
Identify and develop new repair technologies and creative application of existing to address business needs; Define substantiation strategy and lead horizontal teams to execute the development plan for new acceptance limits and repairs; Proactively anticipates Customer Repair needs and leverage existing technologies to avoid disruption in Customer and MRO activities; Provide periodic updates to Customers and Internal Stakeholders about Repair needs and activities; Define and monitor Customer and fleet needs for Technical Publication update and delivery; Define customized Manuals delivery plans to guarantee airworthiness and reach cost reduction target; Support MRO/CRO shops in identification of process improvements actions.
Qualifications/Requirements Master's degree in mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university Sense of ownership, attitude for collaboration, proactivity Good technical skills Proficiency in Italian and English language Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills Clear thinking and diligent approach Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Curiosity and passion for in service aviation engines Passion for mechanical design Good materials and special processes knowledge Previous experience in Aerospace Design Previous experience in Repair Engineering CAD tools knowledge What we offer Smart working and work life-balance Avio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
