For our production site (General Industry coatings/chemical) based at Minerbio (Bologna), we are actively looking for a Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
In this role, you will report to the Plant Manager.The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is in charge of all the projects and operations that are planned and/or executed by the assigned team and/or by external contractors to guarantee machinery and implants reliability, avoid unnecessary production stops, and ensure that all the industrial and non-industrial facility/implant of the building are in perfectly working conditions to serve production and general life inside the plant.Responsibilities The provision of safe equipment, safe working environment, and ensuring all employees/contractors are provided with and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.Ensure maintenance schedules, programs, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met for the functions.Manage multiple groups of employees involved in the maintenance, capital improvement, and updating of equipment, machinery, and the location.Develop, analyze, and review a variety of complex operational reports to examine equipment usage, preventative maintenance, efficiency, quality, and other areas; implement operational changes as required.Oversee activities among various departments on a project basis, such as engineering, operations, safety, and quality control to monitor ongoing and updated operations, processes, equipment, and related areas and implement operational adjustments.Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and process excellence.Lead budget development and spending control for the department within a site; prepare cost justifications and project requests for improvement projects.Drive the Engineering department to consistent and safe methods of work through Risk Assessments and procedures.Facility: ensure that all the plant's issues related to facilities, implants, and accessories are properly addressed; keep implants, services(e.G., changing rooms, restrooms, break rooms), and accessories well preserved and well-functioning; intervene with the Teamto fix quick solvable facility-related issues, and partner with external contractors to ensure the savviest and most cost-effective solutions on the market.Qualifications Degree in Engineering, ideally mechanical engineering or chemical engineering.ATEX/DSEAR knowledge/experience is a must.Awareness of SEVESO/COMAH.Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.Excellent interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and negotiating skills - able to coordinate activities across multiple groups.A proven track record in managing change within a diverse environment.Italian and English language skills.Hands-on approach and attitude.Continuous improvement is a core value.
