**About the role**
The role is within R&D Global Technology Organisation in Porcia - the team of highly qualified engineers supporting development of new platforms and services globally and across categories.This a great opportunity to drive the development of new control algorithms for Electrolux appliances and to be one of the future leaders of the smartness competence center.
**What will you do**
- Monitor and coordinate the Horizon Library of Control Models creation and maintenance;
- Follow the definition and implementation of the Control Models PLM
- Foster systematic adoption of Automatic Code Generation of Control Algorithms, defining coding rules and interfaces with FW to be embedded in Unified Software Architecture;
- Lead and govern the process to develop and spread the Control Theory methodologies across Electrolux organization; coordinate and monitor all the different functions involved identifying gaps, fixing them and finding opportunities / lessons learned to be leveraged at global scale ;
- Adopt tools, assign physical and human resources, skills and training needs to have a High-Performance Delivery Team in place in line with global GEO strategy on organization footprint, skillset, tools and processes;
- Lead the creation of a Smartness platform to foster adoption of smart functions within Electrolux products.
**Qualifications**:
- PhD in Information Engineering/Control System is highly recommended
- Solid experience of Control System Engineer ideally in automotive or household sectors, robotics and plant automation;
- Very good knowledge of linear and non-linear controls, dynamic systems, estimation, optimization;
- Very good knowledge of algorithms for motor control;
- Proficient user of Matlab / Simulink;
- Knowledge of microcontroller, C language programming, Model Based Design approach;
- In your career, you should have consistently designed and validated in practice, be it appliances or industrial automation controls, embedded control systems and/or process control algorithms;
- Capable to inspire and engage people while fostering a culture of accountability and ownership;
- Capable to react positively to the new unknown or ambiguous situation and adapt accordingly.
