We are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer in Supply Management in Wärtsilä Marine Power, Power Supply, to work in the Automation category with engine related electronic parts.
Your role and responsibilities Actively support new product introduction and lead systematic quality assurance activities for electronic parts/productsAnalyse supplier performance, identify development opportunities and drive the development actionsDevelop and execute supplier development action plans to improve supplier performanceSupport suppliers with their operational efficiency and development initiatives in relation to cost, quality and deliveryExecute supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier development action planPoint of contact for suppliers with escalated issuesActively participate in the component category team action plan creation, application and decision makingBelow you'll find the criteria to be successful in this position: Previous experience of electronical components (ie. manufacturing)Strong personal drive for identifying potential for development and taking action on initiativesPerformance-focused mindsetA systematic way of working and excellent problem solving skillsGood teamworking, coordination and communication skillsCapability to apply lean principles and statistical process control in daily work for driving improvementExperience of Production Part Approval Process / Experience in quality management for example in manufacturing processesM.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration, or qualified equivalentFluency in English, both verbal and writtenExperience in SAP is seen as a benefitWillingness to travelWhat we offer to you?
