The Opportunity
For our Buying team based in Brugherio (MB) we are looking for a Buyer Home (Food/Fitness/Bedding) - permanent full time.
In this role you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and merchandising specific product category in a timely and efficient manner, in order to maximize net profit contribution to the company.

Your Impact
Reporting to the Manager Buying Home you will have to:
- Source, select and secure a suitable range of products for QVC to fit the target market and meet sales targets ensuring the range is fresh and exciting for the customer.- Negotiate the best possible prices and conditions of trade- Work closely with Planning to review product performance, plan and grow the product range.- Interact with all relevant departments in order to develop a good understanding of QVC operational requirements to aid buying decisions, including, but not limited to Planning, Broadcasting and Distribution.- Be aware of inventory levels, taking accountability for the return to supplier process, ensuring stock is returned in a timely manner.
Supplier Relations- Regularly meet with suppliers to review product performance and develop new concepts, ensuring products comply with QVC's long-term objectives and quality standards.- Work with other Buyers and the Manager Buying Home on developing supplier relationships, keeping abreast of new trends and competitor activity, and taking advantage of new ideas/concepts and products- Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure they are executed in a timely manner.
Other- Ensure all relevant financial information regarding product performance (historical and projected) is accurately prepared as and when required (e.g. year plan, monthly and quarterly reviews).- Support the Manager Buying Home with the preparation of sales forecasts- Support the Manager Buying Home in continually reviewing sales plan and reacting where appropriate to meet budget
What you bring- Degree in economics or equivalent- At least 5 years of experience as a Home/Kitchen buyer retail- Expertise in drop shipment is highly appreciated- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office and especially Excel- Fluent English and Italian
