**Job Title**: Senior Director, Human Resources, Southern Europe
**Location**: Milan (Italy)
**Reporting to**: SVP Human Resources ESI
**Overview**
The Senior Director HR Southern Europe will be a member of the ESI Human Resources Leadership team reporting directly to the SVP ESI Human Resources.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Sr Director HR Southern Europe will be responsible to lead the HR function in the region by providing proactive support to the organization through the development, communication and implementation of efficient HR initiatives, effective processes, and business partner support in line with overall business strategy.
This role requires, a passion for delivering effective, collaborative, and timely people solutions through the partnership and engagement of a direct and indirect HR team.
The individual will work collaboratively with colleagues in the international and corporate space on internal HR projects and policies.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
- Leads, Develops and Engages a team of HR Professionals, responsible for all aspects of the HR agenda (HRBP's, Specialists, and supporting Admin/Payroll through shared services).
- Builds effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders to support the achievement of the business goals and organizational development.
- Supports Southern Europe leaders as an expert advisor regarding key organizational and people management and development challenges
- Drives the Talent Strategy for the Southern Europe organization
- Develops meaningful People dashboards to help drive data and fact-based decisions and conversations
- Supports and participates on the yearly operating plan of the Business process in regards of the people strategy.
- Supports the business to define and develop the workforce planning strategy of the region
- Ensure local law and regulations are implemented in policies, people practices and HR operations
- Act as the trusted partner and representative of ADP for the employee representative bodies, especially Work councils
- Builds and maintains constructive relationships with work councils and Unions, setting out strategy for significant changes in e.g.
organization, policies, or law
- Partners and builds strong work relationships with matrix HR teams (HR CoEs)
- Acts as an advocate of the company's culture and values to create a best-in-class work environment
- Proactively analyzes, shares and applies knowledge from market trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Acts as a representative of the company in external marketing events to help the company branding effort.
- Lead any assigned projects or initiatives as agreed with SVP ESI Human Resources
**Specific Experiences / Knowledge**
- Degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of HR experience (preferably within multi-national company)
- 5+ years of experience as HR director leading direct HR teams
- Fluent in Italian and English essential, (Spanish is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Italian labour laws
- Experience within matrixed multinational profit organizations preferably in services environment.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS systems
- Proven track record working from strategy to added value execution
- Proven track record in managing works councils and unions end to end negotiations, communications and updates.
