Avincis is a global leader in the emergency aviation industry and it provides services in the field of HEMS, Firefighting, off-shore and MRO. For the Firefighting area, Avincis manages the Italian Canadair fleet composed of 18 planes, owned by the Corpo Nazionale dei Vigili del Fuoco, and it counts on 3 operative bases. The Rotary Wing division instead has a fleet of more than 40 helicopters and 36 operative bases, mainly operating in Italian regions but also covering international operations.
For our office in Colico (LC), we are looking for a Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing and Performance Lead. Reporting to the Rotary Wing (RW) Supply Chain Manager, the Planning, Purchasing & Performance Lead ensures the optimisation of material and stock to meet the needs of technical operations. This includes close liaison with the CAMO and the Production Planning team to ensure parts are readily available to meet servicing schedules and maintenance needs.
The Planning, Purchasing & Performance Lead also monitors and reports on the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations within RW through the development and sharing of appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supporting System Health Indicators (SHIs).
Responsibilities and Activities: Support the Supply Chain Manager in the integration and co-ordination of priorities, resources, performance information and indicators. Lead the Planning, Purchasing & Performance functions to deliver an optimised stock based on historical consumption and the future needs of the RW business.Work closely with the Warehouse & Inventory Management Lead to ensure parts availability meets Pt145 needs.In close consultation with the RW Supply Chain team ensure practice and processes are effectively challenged and support the identification of areas that need improvement. Develop and implement a Supply Chain dashboard with a clear set of KPIs and SHIs to drive a strong performance and delivery culture in support of operations.Manage and develop systems for the provision and secure storage of appropriate statistical data to meet the needs of Supply Chain reporting. Drive supply chain planning strategies that support maintenance material requirements with the aim of achieving significant lead time reduction, cost savings, and improvements in supplier delivery performance.Maintain and drive trusted relationships internally (CAMO and Pt145) and externally (suppliers) to ensure material requirements, priorities and lead times are understood.As the aviation sector is highly regulated, safety and compliance are of the highest priority. Core Capabilities Understanding and experience with Supply Chain purchasing, policies, process, tools, regulations and protocols.Understanding of performance metrics, data management and overall business analytics.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning, negotiation, facilitation and motivational skills. Knowledge of the aviation supply chain and how this supports technical operations and aircraft availability. Cross functional collaboration to drive process and performance improvements in material management.Problem solving and creative thinking.High level of proficiency in MS Office suite, and ERP systems/tools.Fluency in Italian and English.Qualifications and Experience Essential Requirements: 8 years of experience in global Supply Chain operations.At least 2 years' experience in Supply Chain Planning & Performance.At least 3 years' experience in Supply Chain Purchasing.Strong understanding of supply chain best practices, purchasing, lean six sigma, and project improvement.Experience in driving to resolution supply chain issues in collaboration with suppliers and customers.Preferred requirements: At least 5 years' experience in an aviation related supply chain environment.Work Location: Colico (LC)
Salary Range: 50 - 60 K Euro and Accomodation
