Who you'll work withCisco Networking Engineering (CNE), formerly known as Distributed Systems Engineering (DSE), is a multi-billion-dollar business that generates revenue primarily from the Web, Service Provider Edge, Core, and Optical markets. The organization handles the development of high-end optical products like NCS1010, NCS1014, NCS1004, NCS4000, and NCS2000 series. What you'll doWork on developing the software application to manage complex optical system and automation stackDeliver high-level quality software toolsIdentify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problemsCollaborate with a globally distributed engineering team to solve problemsParticipate in the SW/HW integrationMinimum qualificationsComputer science engineering or equivalent degree at either BSc, MSc or PhD level2+ years of experience in major full-stack programming languages, including at least one of the following: C/C++, Java, or JavaScriptKnowledge in the use of configuration controls tools and software repository mechanisms such as Github, BitbucketPreferred qualificationsProgramming experience in Linux environmentExperience with AngularAbility to work in globally distributed team with fast prototyping and developmentExperience within optics/optical networkingUnderstanding of computer networks and network protocols (TCP/IP etc)Automation experience with PythonWhy Cisco#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
