**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Be proficient with customers' site and Industry Safety Programs and standards
- Stop unsafe work, report and correct unsafe conditions or hazards.
- Coordinate and lead site permitting processes, including leading pre-job safety brief, and securing and isolating equipment under LOTO (Lockout Tagout) for maintenance purposes.
- The PV Tech II will assist in development of junior personnel.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and lead the repair of all field systems and equipment, and assist in substation systems and equipment, as applicable.
- Perform advanced preventive maintenance on PV systems and basic preventive maintenance on Substation equipment, as applicable.
- Write and lead routine switching operations on High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems and equipment, including substation equipment and overhead transmission systems, as applicable.
- Coordinate, supervise, and signoff activities being performed by contractors at the site.
- Gather and document information for scope of work definition for bidding process.
- Analyzing plant equipment and systems for safe, reliable, and efficient performance within scope of responsibility.
- Monitor, obtain, and analyze data from instrumentation located throughout the site and substation, looking for variances that are outside normal operating standards and procedures.
Reviews logs and documents and reports discrepancies to the O&M Coordinator Italy or O&M Manager Italy.
- Based upon Operating Control Team input, work with O&M Coordinator Italy or O&M Manager Italy to safely lead investigation and/or operation of site field equipment and assist with substation operation to adjust and maintain proper operation of equipment and systems.
- Lead routine maintenance of site equipment and respond to variances working with O&M Coordinator Italy or O&M Manager Italy.
- Operate the maintenance management system creating service requests, updating work orders, entering Engineering Service Request and Non-Conformance Reports, and other requirements in work order process.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles or mobile equipment, according to the Vehicle Policy in place.
- Lead the development/review of all facility operations documentation (procedures, standing orders, system descriptions, O&M training, etc.
).
- Perform/lead other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by O&M Coordinator Italy and O&M Manager Italy.
- Willing and available to work on scheduled and unscheduled overtime to maintain necessary plant readiness.
- Must be able to respond to site events in accordance with site contractual requirements.
- Be available to work on weekend if requested (Standby Duty, "Reperibilita'") Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong Safety and work ethics
- Thorough knowledge of site systems and the procedures related to safe and reliable operations.
- In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Range from intermediate to advanced ability to read technical drawings, including electrical 3-line drawings, schematics, control logic, etc.
- Demonstrates excellence in shared decision-making, continuous improvement, open communication, teamwork, and accountability.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems, solar electric systems and their components.
- Knowledge of building and structural construction techniques.
- Ability to efficiently troubleshoot system failures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures/manuals, and recommend changes accordingly.
- Ability to complete and review routine reports, correspondence and procedures.
- Professional English Knowledge.
- At least 5 years of related experience in the Power Industry, or equivalent qualifications related to the discipline.
- Advanced analytical and technical skills and knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as instrumentation is required.
- Advanced computer skills, including solid working knowledge with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under high stress situations with mínimal supervision.
