We are looking for a Senior Design Program Manager to elevate our design efforts and help us turn complex ideas into excellent user-friendly products.
In this role, you'll be organized, optimistic, and love working with creative teams; you have experience managing multiple concurrent design projects and shipping complex products; you are comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
Your responsibilities Lead the operational rhythm of the design team responsible for Industrial Design, CMF, and hardware user experience.
Plan and ensure the smooth running of multiple concurrent projects.
Manage program and resource planning in coordination with the Head of ID/CMF and Head of Design.
Manage design process integration with the company's broader product development process (PLP).
Collaborate with program teams.
Input and manage design requirements in product development Software tools.
Stay abreast of product requirements and their evolution, keeping the design team up to date.
Communicate design status to program teams.
Support the design team in logistics related to the design process such as model/sample orders, travel planning, meeting planning, and design review documentation.
Your background To make the above work, we are looking for a senior professional who is hands-on, flexible, eager, and tech-savvy.
In addition, we ask for: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering a plus.
5+ years of experience working on complex products such as automotive, consumer electronics, technical furniture, or similar.
In-house experience a plus; strong understanding of design and hardware development processes.
Strong communication skills (visual, verbal, and written).
Strong time management, organization & prioritization skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated track record successfully managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with design and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated track record in establishing systems and working through ambiguity: experience developing process where little exists.
A portfolio of work is a plus.
