Job Description NAVIRIS is looking for a Whole Warship Architect for its Engineering Department in Genoa.
NAVIRIS represents the joint venture between Fincantieri and Naval Group.

Headquartered in Genoa and another headquarters located in Ollioules, the NAVIRIS team focuses on bilateral and export projects.
The alliance is the natural evolution of the historical partnership between two world leaders. With more than twenty years of collaboration, Naval Group and Fincantieri have already achieved successful milestones together: already in the 90s with the Horizon air defense destroyer program (four ships) and with the FREMM multi-mission frigate program ongoing since 2005 (twenty ships).

Joint research and development projects Worldwide supply capacity Prime Contractorship and Design Authority Procurement optimization Activities and Responsibilities The Whole Warship Architect is an engineer that is experienced in Naval Architecture, with recognized knowledge of Combat System domain (e.g CS Achitectures, CSPI, etc.), Safety studies, Military performances and in general Naval Vessels design and development. Interest into innovations and new technologies applicable to surface combatant would be a real plus.
He/She should be able to perform System Engineering tasks and requirements management, including those not expressed by the Customer.
Besides, He/She should have a good knowledge of Surface Combatant Ships market and concurrent products.
He/She will contribute to the bids preparation process, managing the technical relations and the technical negotiation with the Customers.
Requirement Master's Degree in Naval Architect and Marine Engineering. Other Master's Degrees, such as Electronics Engineering or ICT Engineering may be evaluated if other requirements in terms of ground experiences arre fulfilled; Professional English (speaking, writing and reading); Leadership to be able to manage a complex Design team, including PC representatives, on a given project; Ability to sub contract specific studies and to work in a multinational context.
