RINA is currently recruiting for a Power Owner's Engineering Consultant to join its office in Milan, Rome, Genoa, Lecce - Italy within the Green Energy Solutions Division.MissionThis role mainly focuses on providing Owner's Engineering Services and Independent Engineering Services related to BESS and renewable energy projects within Italy and Southeast Europe.
You will be expected to travel approximately 10% of your time.Key AccountabilitiesReview of resource availability studies (wind and solar), technology studies and structural studies; review of electrical design projects, contractual documentation and environmental studies; review of permitting, health safety reports, grid offers and connection agreements; Execution of feasibility studies as well as preliminary design of BESS and renewable power plants; Project Management activities, such as proactive communication with clients, with the internal team and with the stakeholders; Support in the preparation of proposals and reports; Support in the preparation and management of tendering, negotiation and selection of contractors and key component provider; Support in the preparation and management of BoP, OM, or EPC planning condition and contracts discharging; Conduction of on-site visit inspections and production of reports.Qualifications ExperiencesHaving an electrical engineering background or any experience of electrical design would be advantageous (in particular if gained in an Engineering Consultancy Company or in an EPC Contractor)Proficiency with AutoCad and PVcaseOver 8 years renewable energy experience in either solar PV or wind and at least 2 years in BESS is essentialExperience of renewable permitting process would be advantageousPrevious experience working for an Engineering Consultancy Firm or an EPC Contractor would be beneficialExcellent level of written and spoken English is essentialEducationMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering; Other in Civil Engineering or Management Engineering.CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organizationCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraintMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognize one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsPIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelTHINK FORWARD - Capitalize on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futureWith over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training, and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
